CHILDREN’S RESEARCH GROUP
The Children’s Research Group meets every fourth Friday from 9-11AM. They meet at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in the Koppell Third Floor Conference Room. Their studies have included: (1) the effects of national nursing certification on care and nurses, (2) a survey of primary care and pediatric physicians in Knox and surrounding counties regarding asthma guideline adherence, (3) the effects of an anesthetic pre-medication on emergence delirium, (4) a laughter intervention for airway clearance, (5) the acute hospital experience of children with comorbid psychiatric and physical disorders, and (6) the experience of pediatric nurses taking care of children with comorbid psychiatric and physical disorders.
