The Center for Health Science Research (located on the third floor of the College of Nursing) strives to create a milieu that supports faculty and student scholarship by providing the following services and resources:

Services

  • Internal review of manuscripts
  • Internal review of grant proposals
  • Arranging for and financing external peer review of proposals
  • Locating potential funding sources
  • Budget preparation and management
  • Liaison with the University of Tennessee Research Office
  • Grant formatting
  • Electronic submission of grant proposals to funding agencies
  • Mailing grant proposals to funding agencies
  • Preparation of posters and slides for scholarly presentations
  • Consultation for Human Subjects Review by the Institutional Review Board
  • Obtaining needed support letters for grant proposals
  • Mentoring faculty members as necessary
  • Statistical consultation is provided by the University
