Welcome

The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is a nationally recognized leader in the education of highly-skilled, visionary nurses. The College of Nursing was established in July 1971 in response to a long-recognized and well-established need for nurses prepared at the collegiate level. We currently enroll more than 400 students in our undergraduate nursing programs, 150 students in our master’s program, and 30 in our doctoral program. Since opening our doors, we have awarded more than 3,500 bachelor’s degrees and more than 1,200 graduate degrees.

Preparing for the Future

Now more than ever, we are committed to advancing our mission to prepare nurses to meet the challenges of an ever-changing health care system. And now, more than ever, we are committed to excellence in nursing education, practice, and research.
