Transcultural nursing education, ethnonursing research method, and culture care theory.  Culturally congruent care (Diverse nursing student success; German- and African-Americans in hospice home care).  Cultural competence of faculty, students, and nurses.

Current Projects: Teaching Culture Care in Nursing and Evaluating a Faculty Development Program for Best Practices in Online Teaching.
