2008 Research Day HighLights

President Message:

Hello and welcome to Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau’s website where you will find upcoming Sigma Theta Tau events, information, funding opportunities and information about membership. Sigma Theta Tau is the nursing honor society sponsored by the University of Tennessee College of Nursing. This chapter began in 1978 and has thrived until present with over 1200 inducted members. The Gamma Chi chapter at the College of Nursing expects to induct members for 2008 in late April, early May. Invitation to membership is granted by academic grades with potential inductees voted on by the membership at the annual meeting, which coincides with our annual Research Day. Sigma Theta Tau membership is an honor in and of itself. However, we also offer two programs during the year. The first is the Boynton Lecture. Our second program will be Sigma Theta Tau’s annual Research Day. Both of these programs are open to Sigma Theta Tau members as well as any interested healthcare professional. We look forward to these programs for continued learning and networking. For more information regarding Sigma Theta Tau, contact one of our officers.
