College of Nursing 2002 Ghana International Medical Mission
During our time in Ghana we provided medical care to the costal villages of Sekondi and Takoradi. Most of the care given involved acute healthcare conditions such as: gastrointestinal and respiratory illnesses, musculoskeletal complaints and some tropical illnesses. These villages have ongoing hypertension clinics where we participated in the management of these cronic diseases and also provided health education classes.
